WHAT IS THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE

The Alexander Technique (AT) is a unique way of using the mind to restore the body's inherent coordination. We are designed to move with ease and grace, no matter what age we are. Yet, as we rush around in our busy lives, we lose our balance and develop harmful habits that wear us down. Stress, pain, and fatigue are often caused by simply not using our bodies naturally.

The Alexander Technique can help you identify detrimental thought and movement patterns and offers a practical approach for undoing them. The result is a more energetic, free, and graceful you.

Developed over a hundred years ago by F.M. Alexander, the Alexander Technique is a well-established method for personal transformation. Courses on the technique are taught, for example, at the Juilliard School of the Arts in New York and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and Nobel Prize-winners Sir Charles Sherrington and Sir Nikolaas Tinbergen, writer Aldous Huxley, musician Sting, actor Paul Newman have all studied the technique.
